Have you ever though of something to do with your daycare kids...and thought this would be a really cool thing to do with them...and that's all you thought about it. Then, you do it and it comes out far better than what you pictured in your mind.....yep, that's what happened to me. I thought we would make a simple little Brown Bear, Brown Bear Book ...no big deal, pretty fun and something they can keep for the rest of their lives.
So we made a Brown Bear, Brown Bear Book for Letter B - Bubba Bear. I had the kids color each one of the animals the color it should be and then I made the sentence strips on the computer using Microsoft Word.

This is the cover of the book

 Brown Bear
 Red Bird

 Yellow Duck
Blue Horse

Green Frog
Purple Cat

White Dog

Black Sheep
Gold fish
Teacher

Children

At the end, we added all the animals again with sentence strips and small picture card. This is the first page of them .....

And this is the second page of them ....

Here is the last page in the book that they kids made.

We then made a bear sack to hold our picture cards in, these cards are so the kids can find the corresponding animal card to the animal in the book. It's always more fun to make something that the kids can enjoy and yet learn from at the same time.

And our picture cards, bear sacks and books.

If you would like to make one of these books with your daycare kids, follow this link to my 4shared account here. In the file you will find the links with all the websites used for this book. The kids were very excited to see their pictures that we've colored over the last few days, and then to see them in a book that is their very own !

Little Learners Home Preschool: Our Zoo-Phonics Animal Cards

Little Learners Home Preschool: Our Zoo-Phonics Animal Cards

Our Zoo-Phonics Animal Cards

When I had bought my daughters school supplies, I bought a 3 ring binder.....it just so happens that her teacher did not need it, so my daughter brought it back home.

So, what could I do with this 3 ring binder...the receipt was long gone so returning it was not an option.

I had notices that our Large Animal cards were starting to get bent up a little and that is when it hit me ....

I had this binder and a package of page protectors in a file cabinet that I had not found a reason to use yet.

I made a cover for the clear sleeve of the binder..

And then added our Lowercase cards in the page protectors and put them in the binder

There was enough room in the binder to add the Capital letter cards as well.....

Now, we have all of our Large Animal Cards in one binder and we can easily flip through them at Circle Time ....
